Whilst working on the Raincatchers story, we needed a predator that felt at home at the parched deserts of Puracrica. That's where the idea of the Siccath came from.

This creature drains the very moisture from its prey, symbolising the thirst and scarcity that bridges the continent of Puracrica and an upcoming new continent. This new continent appears to be the birth place of the current Raincatcher's Captain.

Talking about the Captain, we have also found a voice actor who's doing a trial run. Any idea who it is? Let us know in the comments.

The sketch is a rough representation of a Siccath, but it captures the direction we're heading with it: cracked hide like dried clay, jagged scythe like forelimbs, sunken hollow eyes that seem very thirsty. This creature is also the first victim of the Captain's weapon that was used in the prologue of Aqua. Read it here.

Hayztee will be taking this sketch and redrawing it to create the Captain's journal or logs. This document will introduce a first person perspective of his journey towards becoming the head of the Raincatchers tribe.
